ALREI supports trade union organisations with analysis, tools, training and spaces for strategic reflection grounded in African workers’ realities.
Overview
ALREI is the Africa Labour Research and Education Institute. It operates as a research and education structure linked to ITUC-Africa and supports the African trade union movement.
Its role is to produce knowledge, support training, inform trade union debates and strengthen workers’ capacity to engage in economic, social and democratic policies.
Missions
ALREI links knowledge production with trade union action to strengthen advocacy, organising and workers’ participation.
